Default 90 LX with 17s?

Hey guys, I have a 1990 LX Hatchback with a 5-lug swap. I am not sure of the details on the swap but it has drums in the rear and Powerslot rotors in the front. I want to run 17x9 FR500 rims all the way around. I was told by a few people that this wouldnt fit, then others say it will work fine. Any help would be appreciated!

I've heard of it being done...but with skinnier tires up front. like 255's front and 275's out back. as long as the backspacing is right for your car I would think it should work. I am not 100% sure though.

Foxes like to rub with bigger tires up front. you can get away with 17s, but id be stingy with the sizing up front. stay as small as possible up front. If you have 17x9s, id recommend like a 245-255 if possible. itll look a little funny but its not going to rub as much.

I was thinking about doing a 245 up front and then a little bigger in the rear. Thanks for the input guys!
