Default what is the widest you can go on a 17 X 9

Anyone have an idea?

I think most people go with 275's up front and don't have a problem so i'd say that... i got 245's on mine...

I have 17x9 rim with 275 40 17 on my 04 Gt at full turn I had a slight rub but I have to be cranking on the wheel.

I have 17x8 with 275s. So I would think 17x9 will go alittle higher. Could be wrong.

I have 17x9s with 275 40s aswell. I do have a lil bit of rubbing when turning. I think the 275s will take up a more fender to wheel gap aswell.

You can fit easily a 285-40 on a 17x9 rim. Hec!! most people with 17x8s stuff 275s in them.

you can fit all sizes mentioned but optimal size is 275
