Hey, I was looking at the springs, which I think I am getting for Christmas for my 01 v6, and the Eibach pro-kits only say they are for the v6 convertible? Now, I figure there shouldnt be any difference in the convertible/coupe suspension, so these will work for my 01 v6 coupe, right?

the vert is heavier so your not gonna get the full drop. Get the springs for a coupe v6/GT thats what you need.

vert rear springs are not for coupes... it'll sit way wrong. Done it...
Pro-kit is probably a bit much for the light weight of a 6er and it'll ride like a truck because of that. Try H&R sports or Steeda Sports or FRPP F springs (I'd take the F's, they're progressive and just about perfect for your car with a nice lower to them). Just make sure you get springs for a coupe. |

So, they don't even carry the Eibach's for a v6 here? My question is, how does H&R have one spring to fit all the cars, verts and coupes, and the Eibach's for the convertible not work on my car. Does anyone have pics of a car with the C-springs? I am worried they won't lower it enoguh.

Cuban, what else do u have as far as suspension though?
Oh, and redneck, Im wanting to stay away from CC Plates as much as possible. I don't see why the Eibachs (correctly fitted to my coupe, which I found on Jegs) wouldn't work.

The eibachs will work just fine (never said they wouldn't) but Eibach usually command a bit of a premium on price (that's getting less and less but still). H&R's which give you the same drop and the progressive rate can usually be found pretty cheaply on the secondary market compared to the others. The H&R springs start at a higher rate so they're less spongy for the first little bit of jounce travel. Makes for a bit firmer ride which some people don't like but cornering stability and less body roll will be there too and those are better side effects than having the Eibach sticker.
As for FRPP springs... I've always liked them better than any other conventional spring. Don't know why but they always seemed to be just a little bit over the rest in consistency and quality. Staying away from CC plates... why on earth would you do that? If it's cost, then just budget them in and thank me later. If you just don't like the idea of using them.. your call. |

I could be wrong, but don't the H&R's drop it more than either of the other two? Any pics of H&R's on a car??
