Default Subframe Connector Question

Hey, question

Got a guy local here who is selling Kenny Brown Subframe Connector for 99-04 cobra. $240 new, selling for $125.

Is this a good deal? Anyone heared of these?

http://denver.craigslist.org/pts/200738060.html

Here is a pic of the connectors.

All those who have the subframe connectors, how do you like them? Would you reccommend them?

Current mods

K&N FPIK
4:10 gears
X-pipe, no mufflers
Diablotune
Mach 1 brake upgrade.

Thanks!

idk... as long as the welds are good should do the job...

I'd do sway bars and struts at the same time too

Kenny Brown makes some of the best parts. The Matrix subframes are the best, but theres ALOT of welding that need to be done. Figure in around another $125 or more to have tham installed. $240 is what that whole Matrix kit really costs. Sounds like a square deal, but id rather just pay $125 for some brand new Maximum Motorsports XL subframes. Theylle stiffen you up just as good and less welding. The nice thing about the Matrix is you have great jacking rails.

Id get the MM full length SFC's they are the longest in the business...so they will do the best job...and they are $150.00 straight from MM. (and thats for the powdercoated version)

Will he have to make any modifications to make it fit his GT or are the Cobra SFC's the same as the GT's?? Just curious cause I know sometimes the IRS messes things up,

all the stock SFC's are garbage...they hardly do anything at all. It is almost pointless to use Ford's SFC's.

Get the MM full length SFC's...they are cheap and THE BEST.

Yeah I get that, I'm just asking if the SFC's are interchangeable between Cobra's and GT's?

Oh...I see...well MM doesnt distinguish(sp?) between their XL SFC's for Cobras or GT's or V6's...it just says 1994-2004.

I dont think it matters as the XL SFC's, at least on my GT, dont come close to the rear end.

I don't like KB subs, they're really kinda spindly and I don't think they're near rigid enough. I'd stick with steeda, griggs, or MM. and 125 is absurd... 99 bucks for a brand new set of subs is still a little tall but at least reasonable.
