So I was so excited today when I swapped out my MAC CAI for a K&N FIPK
and the car seemed to run way better! I was feelin so pumped so I was just
cruisin around town in it. Just like the day I bought it. The engine was feelin silky smooth and It seemed to have a much throatier sound to it. I was gassin it trying to show off around town a little bit and I had just got back from trying out a short shot of spray on the Interstate. I was headed home though cause I wanted to get back so I could eat somethin.....

I roll up to the light next to a blue Civic Hatchback with a good size exhaust pipe on it. I was like, "Yea I bet he thinks that thing is SOOO fast". I was feeling like billy badass at the moment so I tapped the throttle next to his window and it sounded like something you dont wanna mess with.

He didnt rev back but I could see the guy looking at my car real hard. I just have this kind of "sixth sense" when I know someone wants to run me. We took off and I didnt get on it or anything. I wasnt going to try to race him unless he pulled up next to me first. Im not all that big in racing hondas.

We pull up to the next light and its a young guy drivin of course. He proceeds to roll his window down and ask what I had in it. I said, "oh, well it just has an exhaust kit on it". He laughed at me with his girl all next to him. I got pissed and said well what do you have in THAT THING? He said, "Its got a turbo H22, Youd never catch it." I said "Whatever Man!" as he rolls up the window.

I was all about to race him but he didnt punch it at the green light. I was like "What does this guy think im not fast enough for him?". I pulled next to him and revved. He revved back and I proceeded to drop it into 2nd gear....

The beast was only sittin on 900psi. We didnt honk, just kinda got on it at the same time. I hadnt yet sprayed the car from a 40 roll with the correct A/F ratio. I punched at 3000 and the thing smoothly stood the front end up higher than it ever has before. It pulled much harder than the last 03 Cobra I drove and it lost traction on a dry street at 5000 rpm. Given I do have walmart tires on the car now, its still never been that powerful. I thought that the turbo Hatchbacks were fast but DAMN! This thing was only about 2 car lengths behind me when I shifted out of 2nd gear.

He tried to do the "Ricer Fly-By" on me and he couldnt because there was a car ahead. I just cruised down the road in third gear to let my car rumble hard. I came up to my turnoff and I stopped in the turning lane. The civic was coming up on my ass HARDCORE! I thought it was going to slam into the back of me! I punched the car so I wouldnt get hit and he missed. He was trying to nick my back bumper as he drove by! I was pissed and got into my ass beating mode. Then I remembered the movie about Dale Earnhart. He said " If a man comes at you after you beat him in a race, you dont ever get out of your car. You already showed him you got balls, on the track." And I let him go home. Lucky bastard.

Actually there are about 3 at least that I know of. The scene is big here in murfreesboro. on any given saturday night you can walk up on a single or even twin turbo mustang or camaro or whatever.... It will appear bone stock too. Thats just the popular thing to do nowadays cause you can take someones money.
