Why are all the ****ing mods on this site so strict? - Rant

We cant ****ing cuss. We can barely talk ****. 2 of my posts and one of springs' posts got deleted in the classified section, and they weren't even bad. I understand that young people may be browsing this forum, but 12-14 year olds have no business using the internet anyways, (they don't even drive) and if they are, you know they are probably looking at porn and other unsuitable **** for young children anyways. most of us on here are older than 16, and we're all mature enough to use/hear profane language, and definetely take a little **** talking... so what the ****!?

If you read the rules in the classified section you will know why.If someone is trying to sell something you should not post of topic crap in thier thread.We have that in the other forum's.No your post were not that bad but that is not what that section is for.

If it didn't have to do with the buying/selling of the item in the post, it was probably off topic. The whole idea is to let people post stuff they have for sale, not to talk **** about the stuff they're selling...that's what the smack section's for...

It may be...but look at it this way... Nobody can MAKE you use this board, but if you CHOOSE to use it, then you pretty much have to play by the mods/admins rules...

I look at it this way too. I post here, MD, some local Stang boards, and one other board

The other has the least amount of rules. All they ask is that you maintain a good fellowship.

MD attracts a bit "older" more mature crowd than this board. People who generally don't feel the need to swear in every post. They have fewer rules about it because it not a huge issue.

Most on the local boards know eachother so cussing is a non-issue. You generally know how the people are in person, and they act the same online. E-thugging doesnt apply when you meet face to face.

I mean no insult to this board, but come on... most of the posts I see here start with I'm 16/17, I'm in high school, My parent's won't let me, or are in some incomprehensible form of english, etc. This board has those rules because they're more or less necessary to make this place not look like the detention room at an inner city school.

Clean up the place.

Well I know it does seem pretty strange to have younger people on the board, but I know I started liking mustangs before I could even drive.. in fact I started browsing stangnet's website when I was 13-14. I didn't register on their forums until I was like 15 though (which was when I got my first mustang).

I dunno, this is my favorite board. I dig the people here, the mods seem to put up with me to a decent degree. Havent been banned yet, or if i had, i just happened to not be around that day to notice. ROFL

I hate to say it but i gotta agree with the mods, if somone is selling something, unless you have a genuine interest in buying it, dont post on the thread. Nobody forces anyone to be on here, if it is that big of an issue there are other places to check out.
