If you arent interested in something that someone is selling, there is no reason to even reply. All you are doing is just posting useless junk in someones thread and potentially ruining their sale. And when one person posts that stupid crap, then everyone else does too...

I dont know about you, but I dont want to read through a page of stories when im trying to sell my stuff... and with our status, its our decision if it stays or goes.

While most times I personally, and I dont think any of the other mods, dont care about the "nice part/car" etc type of posts, we do care about posts that tend to slander the poster. Mind you, I didnt get to see the posts before they were deleted, although I could if I chose to, I trust that Lance made the correct decision in removing any post that he had deemed offensive or off-topic. The classifieds are there to provide users with an area to sell their items, not to have an argument about a product description. If you have an issue with an item description, why dont you just PM the seller to POLITELY correct them, rather then insulting them for making a mistake.

The rules are set in place because we need them there. If there wasnt such an issue with these kinds of things, then we probably wouldnt need such strict rules in most cases. They are there because of things that have happened in the past that we would rather not have repeated.
