Default Who Watches Bullrun?

The Spike TV show Bullrun has finllay caught my fancy. I liked it at first because the old Mustang and New F150 were beating up the imports. When the F150 beat the Lambo on a handling course, it was a blast!

For those who aren't aware of it, this show is partly selected from CarDomain, where all cardomain members vote in their candidates.

I think the show is down to nothing but domestics, right now:

TransAm - F150 - Hurst Olds - Charger.

All the imports blew up or busted out.

The old Mustang threw a rod, which was too bad, but it was na ORIGINAL 66 mustang!

I'm voting for my friend who has a Bullitt for the next Bullrun cycle:

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2628046

Right now he's #1 on CarDomain for the BullRun poll, but we can use all the votes we can get! There are a lot of ricers out there gunning to fill the show with imports.

Its on Spike TV. MC is a pro rassler who likes old muscle cars. Funny as heck - when the M3 beemer that was on there won a shootout with another car, it tried to do a donut and blew up his motor and had to push the car back - I almost died laughing.

I think I should be on bullrun.

On a side note, id like to know how he got 275 pirellis on his 8" bullitts. Sidewalls on these tires are STIFF as hell. It took me 95 lbs to seal the bead and getting the tires just on the rim was half the struggle.

The guy in the M3 didn't blow his engine. After he let it cool off it started right up. The show is pretty cool. The guys in the F150 are gay and I hope either the trans am wins or the charger. The guys in the charger are pretty funny, plus the car is nice.

Actually, he blew his radiator (and had some really nasty oil leak that they temporarily cured with a ton of stop leak). Then the electronics started to cook, and would cut off the motor at odd moments. But you're right - he just THOUGHT he blew the motor doing donuts.

Funny either way.

The Charger would be my second estimate - they are tough minded and think strategically. Buying up all the maps at the first stop was cute.

I really won't mind if any of the American vehicles win, though my first loyalty is to Ford. Ford needs a win right now, in general.

Those guys and the guys in the lambo. But when I saw the lotus get the boot I cheered so loud I woke up the nephews. LOL It sucks though that the charger got kicked this week, I was hoping it would be the Olds to go home. I myself am routing for the Texas Truck.

Yeah, I'm pulling for F150, first because its a Ford, and second because its a truck (and thus an underdog in most of this event).

I wish the Mustang had held on longer, though. It would have been very fine to have an all-Ford final - truck vs mustang!

The way things are looking, the Mustangs may not be included in the upcoming BullRuns. This voting routine they go through just seems counter to the independent nature of Stangers. The hordes of ricers will always band together to beat us in this sort of thing. If you haven't already gotten on CarDomain and voted, do so. There are several nice stangs near the top of the board who will benefit from your vote!

And Update: They've hired Paris Hilton (presumably AFTER she gets out of jail) to drive a Mitsubishi for BullRun! That leaves them with 11 more slots to fill...

Oh, I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see her crash - and her getting lost and asking for directions would be hilarious.

Hey, look at the bright side - at least they didn't give her a MUSTANG to drive!

I want a mustang in the competition - but NOT that way!

She belongs with the ricer set.

the Cardomain voting will have little to do with who gets picked in the end. they will want ratings so they will choose a broad selection of cars, and of course a couple teams that are complete tools so they can have some drama. It may be CALLED reality TV, but nothing about it is ever real.

Serious contenders are asked to do a video of themselves and their navigators. Its the modern equivilant of an audition - except you have to make the video yourself.

Getting enough votes just gets you the initial cred. After that, its you and the camera. I don't THINK the guy with the unpainted body kit held on with duct tape (#2 right now - Nissan 240 that meets that description), but you never know...

The show's too "green" just yet to spot many trends, but they do seem to like to balanace imports and domestics - old and new.

Having had an old Mustang, and with the anniversary of the movie comiing up next year (I think), the Bullitt might be a good play.

But I wouldn't be surprised to see them cram a series with 12 ricers if that was the group that snagged their attention and audience.

They will change the votes how they see fit just like they do on American idol

Its a little different. The guys who put up their sites can watch what goes on in their own poll - the singers on Idol have thousands of invisible people (probably in India somewhere) toting up tens of millions of votes, and who KNOWS what goes on with that stuff?

I admit I never watch American Idle. My wife and daughter are addicts, though.

I wanted to see the Olds guys go as well. They aren't half as cool as the charger guys. I wasn't a fan of the F150 guys in the beginning but they got some respect from me in the last episode when they were trying to help the charger guys. Trans Am FTW though.
