Default hood scoops

if you bought a car that came with a hood scoop (just the cosmetic one), you would have to cut it out to put a ram air?
and is the ram air a do it yourself job?

i dont think you need a mach 1 hood for that shaker. actually... the mach hood will not fit at all.
to install that you have to cut a hole in your hood. i

You can put one on you car no problem. Just center it on the hood where it goes then drill 6 holes and bolt it onto the hood. There used to be a guy who sold them already painted on eBay.
