Default Hood Scoops.

Hey guys, are there any available hood scoops for the stock v6 hood?

I was looking at the Xenon one but i I was confused about whether or not it would fit.

Can someone link me one or point me in the right direction?

Thanks

J

first what year is your mustang. Depending on the year and what type of hood you have depends on if you can put a hood scoop on or not.

Just did some research and it looks like you have a 2001 mustang. In that case you can get a the Xenon hood scoop.

That one would work. But I would suggest not getting it. It looks awful.
You can always use the Hoodscoop that comes a GT.

Thats good news and thank you.

The newer v6 model like 03 04 i think had a reverse style hood scoop, not like 99 00 01 02, mine has the hood like yours, a gt one without a scoop. Ive looked and u can find them on ebay, my friend got one with 4 bolts in it and he bolted his on. The xenon ones are different than stock, but its a matter of what you like.

Yea i got a stock GT scoop brand new for around 80$ still havent had the cash/time to put it on though. The 04 V6s had a reverse hood almost like the cobras but still different. xenon scoops are actually just taped on with 3m weather-proof adhesive, while a normal scoop is bolted on. Hate to drive buisness from AM but heres a stock scoop from Stangmods, there are cheaper on ebay but you get the point.
