Everyone has a problem with this, except me. :tongue1: I got it my 2nd try, after working for 20 seconds.
I think the secret, is a very very small flat head screwdriver. One you use to work on eye glasses or something. Stick it into the slit, and put mild pressure on it with your left hand. With your right hand pull straight out on the headlight switch.

You have to remove it when replacing a guage pod or adding a bullet switch.

It's a lot easier to take off than to put back on...I had to pull it off when I put in my Simco gauges.

There's a metal tab in the shaft of the headlight knob. Stick a small, skinny flat head screwdriver in there and press on it and pull the knob out as you do so. It will slide off but with some force though.
Putting it back on is easy as well. It's a triangular shape metal rod that slips into the headlight knob. It has to match up as it goes in. Very simple. I've done this I don't know how many times |
