Default Mothers Wheel Polish bad for wheels?

So I bought Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish and it says perfect for all metals. But I read the back and it says, " Not recommended for gold plating, chrome, anodized, painted or coated wheels". Should I use this on my wheels or will it ruin them? I have 17” premium painted cast aluminum wheels.

I agree. If the wheels are painted use a wax to polish them up. I have the black deep dish bullitts and I wax the black areas and use the mothers wheel polish on the lip. Makes them shine like new!

The reason you dont want to use a "polish" on your wheels is because they have a clear coat on them. The polish will remove that clear coat, you dont want to do that.

Putting wax on wheels is a waste of wax. Itll melt off in no time due to excessive heat. You want a specific wheel glaze or sealant such as DP wheel glaze or PB wheel sealant.

That is a different product.

Chrome polish for chrome

The other is for polished wheels.
