Turtle wax is crap. I have used it and it sucks. It doesnt shine well and doesnt last well at all. I use Alot of different products. i used to detail in highschool as a 2nd job so i have learned alot about detailing over the years. I have tried alot of things over the years and turtle wax is at the bottom.
PS- i hope you added a wax over the ice as its a polish not a wax and doesnt protect the paint.

I mean just my 2cents for over the counter Wax's and polish you cant beat Meg's Gold glass or there 3 step wax kit with cleaner, polish, and pure carnuba wax. Same goes for mothers Wax's but not everyone carrys it.
For stuff you have to get off the net there are a few that are great. Like Vanilla moose, clearkoat, poorboys. There are a good number of great polish's and wax's. I still use Meguiars 3 step as i still have some left over form my detailing days. As its a bit cheaper then the ones you have to buy off the net and i can get it in bulk as BJ's etc... But if i had to pick one wax i think Vanila moose would be it hands down. I think 03mustanggt uses it too he can tell you how good it is too.

I used to use Turtle Wax Platinum Spray Detail and LOVED it. However I think they discontinued it do to the ICE.
I started to use Meguiers Quick Detail and that works fine for me. I finally convinced myself to spend 10 bux on a bottle of Turtle Wax ICE detail spray. Honestly, I don't notice a damn difference. Only thing is the ICE you can supposedly use in direct sunlight. As far as waxes I like Meguiars NXT Tech Wax. I'm gonna use Meg's #80 and #83 if needed this summer. I also really like Armor All's Tire Gel, lasts forever and doesnt come off in the rain. (Just slightly dulls, but very slightly) I always use MF cloths. Also use Mother's Chrome Polish, Meg's NXT Window Cleaner with glass MF cloth, and Clay Magic Clay bar. |

I've always used Meguiars car care products...IMO they are by far the best! My boy is sponsored by them with all of his show cars so I get an unlimited amount of supplies, I wont change products either!

i used to use meguires exclusively but then i tried the new eagle one nano wax and i can never go back to meguires... that stuff is amazing.
a bunch of my friends were saying they had never seen my car shine so much before. it's good stuff. i've heard great reviews of that wax on other forums so i had to try it. so far everyone loves it. |

I used the meguiars hot shine tire spray, it works great, but the actual gel they have is really good! I used the Black magic titanium gel to test it out....thats some crucial stuff! 4 weeks later it's STILL on my tires even after going to the car wash power washing them and using purple power!!!!!

i bought some Turtle wax Ice on a whim because it looked cool and even though its not the best i still think it's pretty good. I can use it on my car in the sun in the middle of the day when its 105 degrees out and it still works good. my brother used some on his car, which is black, and it made it look really good. but it is a polish, so you still need to wax afterwards.
i also bought some of the armor-all extreme tire gel that comes with the special applicator sponge and this i would definitely recommend, it makes my tires so damn shiny and you only have to do it like once a month or maybe every three weeks and they still shine. |

I like the NXT wax ... works well and is easy to apply. I fealt really bad because my wax protection was gone on my new car, and i was too lazy to hand dry when i washed it because of the heat, and you cannot just wax, damn waterspots... Connecticut water is so hard, chock full of minerals, i would prolly go through one of the quick dry filters in a day. So we finally dot around to it after a series of heavy rain storms in which my car was chilling outside during (the old V6 and convertible sebring get the garage) and all the wax was gone afterwards... I finally waxed it (first time since i have owned it!) and lets just say that the depth and shine of the True Blue is unparalleled... such a nice blue and the highlights on the edges is so crisp... car still looked good, the pollen... oh the pollen... luckily i have a california style duster in which i can sweep that off... and now it is raining again in CT... i hate rain and so does my baby

just my $.02, but the best detail spray i've used is wizards mist-n-shine. At the dealership i used to work at the cost was $14 a bottle for the dealership and they did not sell it to the public. so i gave myself the five finger discount. but after using eagle one, mothers, meguirs and turtle wax detail sprays, this one wins hands down. it goes on super smooth, leaves a nice slick feel, deep rich gloss and smells like bubble gum.
