Novi is a great blower, but more meant for the strip, the boost kicks in a little later than say a vortech. The novi will by far put out more boost in the long run, I would definately get this tho if you come across a great price.

I really like my vortech and the aftercooler works great. I would suggest that you upgrade to an 03 cobra heat exchanger when you have a chance. (I got mine used for $90 shipped on an svt forum)
I have checked the pipes after driving for 3 hours and while the blower was almost too hot to touch, the elbow after the aftercooler was so cool you could wrap your hand around it and hold it there with no problem.
And then when I'm at the track I can fill the water tank up with ice and really cool the air down comming into the engine.
Air to air is only very effective if you are moving at a decent speed, but the air to water will continue to cool the intake charge even when the car is sitting still until the water temp is maxed out. And water has 4 times the heat capacity of air so it will take a lot of heat from the air for a while before it gets heat soaked. Also, there is less piping with the air to water setup so there are fewer bends in the pipe. Each 90 degree bend is like 6' of straight pipe so a bunch of bends add up quickly.
If you are going with a basic street setup then it's a tossup between vortech and procharger. For race blowers I'd only buy a procharger though.

I'll say go with the Novi 2000, I've taken a couple around for a spin and I think it hits way harder and just feels like it is set-up way better than procharger. I can't wait to get rid of of my P-1 and upgrade. But the Novi seems like it is just all around a better blower. But they all have their draw backs so you can flip a coin on which one you wan't and you'll make some power out of anyone you choose. It's all in the supporting mods with a s/c. Just my .02

not this again ... any its ATI procharger hands down the best blower period - go their site - look at the gallery and u'll see why - they are the fastest blowers on stock GTs - end of story ) excluding other mods of course) - anyway thats what i was going to do - but since its nt much more money and its a hell of alot faster - im going twin turbo.... yea
