Well it definately is Kenne Bell.

BUT you asked for centri.

Here's my thoughts....

Vortech is the most reliable consistant blower out they're, GREAT for a daily driven car IMO

Paxton is good as well but is aimed more for a drag setup and achieves good 1/4 mile times.

Procharger is a good all around blower plus comes intercooled BUT has it's problems with reliability.

For your question forget Paxton because it builds its PSI a little later in the RPM band. Procharger will get better 1/4 mile times than the Vortech with same set up USUALLY. I would say procharger hands down IF they're was absolutely no chance of leaky seals also they come intercooled always. Other than this I would say a Vortech is a good safe reliable choice. Also the procharger has a loud whistle, you might or might not like that.

Leaky seals. A lot of them. Only the P-1sc does tho, they're self contained oil head units so this is why seals are critical. Some people say the stage 2 p-1sc are different head units than the p-1sc. The only difference however is just the intercooler, stage 2 has a 3 core and the 1st one only has a 2 core. They're is about a 300 dollar difference between the two but DEFINATELY get the stage 2. It's kinda risky IMO about the leaky seals tho, but they're the best since they're intercooled.

it depends on the car. you see my numbers with a vortech v2 s trim 12#'s of boost 14* of timing. my friends procharged 03 is at 380 rwhp and 390 rwtq 13#'s of boost at 16*'s of timing.

You're intercooled I was talking non intercooled for the vortech since youd have to pay a pretty penny more to make it intercooled. If you wanted to get an intercooler for the Vortech than I would get the Vortech hands down.

Torque and centrifugal blower really don't belong in the same sentence. It's just intrinsic to their nature. If you're bent on centri blowers (they are relatively inexpensive, used kits go for 1200-1500 all the time) then Vortech is a tried and true unit. You'll max out the stock shortblock before you will the blower, so there's no worry there. If your looking for a little more i'd go Novi 2000. I've heard of too many problems with the prochargers, but some have had positive experiences.

Hope that helps.

1st question would be how much power are you wanting.

Procharger is good with numbers but have many issues. And warantee wont cover those.

Vortech is a better choice if your wanting between 350-400hp
if you want to get your 400hp you need and air/air intercooler. Dont go with the water to air. that is ment for dragrace only, and the one they have sucks.
I recommend going to procharger for the 3core air to air intercooler and get the vortech for what you are wanting.

If you plan on building up your stock block later down the road, you can pay the 1300 for an upgraded head unit

moved to power adders where a supercharger question would go.

And for low end any roots blower would give best down low power. But do you really want that?

I don't know why kids persist on spreading stupid rumors that have no truth in them. The ATI is proably the best system availble... no problems (every manufactor will have issues at some time thought - fact of life). KB - not worth it and not that fast - more fun (maybe at low speed) - however for the price of a Kb you can get a twin turbo - thats what im doing - and blows the doors off s/c cars - no comparision - anyway ATI is the best system for the money and THE most reliable - again unless you know from experience ( YOUR SELF) plz don't comment - vortech are trash - novi is good (2000 - 2000RR - only) - basically go with stage 2 ATi - you'll be happy - about 4k for everything installed from a shop that knows what theyre doing:foot:

man, you have 4 post here, and your going to come in and talk trash. Get a life. And I personally have experience with s/c had a novi2k myself. I also sell superchargers, and 98% of the ones I have sold personally have blown a seal. Factory's all have their own mistakes, well how bout they get those da&* things fixed. They know about it, but its people like you that tell people ahh no, they dont blow seals or very few do, you will be fine.

Take a hike

steveo, your a complete douche. since when does your post count have anything to do with your knowledge of cars or your ability to come up with smack talk? another thing, you have 8psi...you dont count. asking people what blower to buy on a forum isnt gonna get you helpful opinions. the only things to pay attention to is everyone elses combo and everyone elses speciissues and base your decision off of that.

I really dont care what people want to buy on here. But when they buy something that someone says they should buy without doing research on their own and it goes south on them, then let it be their fault. But I dont like people coming on here shouting mouths and saying that ATI is the Best or this is the ****. I sell them and I know what the prochargers do. I sell them because I make more money off of them than any other s/c setup. there is a reason why they are so cheap. Then I get phone calls from people that bought prochargers and want to know how to use a warantee because they blew a seal. I tell everyone before they buy that you will most likely blow a seal.

Dont get me wrong procharger and novi's in the centrifugal world are the better power makers.
Novi and vortech are the more reliable in the centrifugal world.

If you looking for more power and a lot of it, go procharger or novi

if you are looking to make your 350-400 and sit there, go vortech and you wont really experience any problems with it.

if you go forced induction, things on your car will break and will go bad a lot quicker than if it were stock (ex. suspension, tires, drivetrain, engine parts)

just my 2cents

once u buy a power adder things will break so just flip a coin at which blower u want... obviously if one is THAT bad people will stop buying it (powerdyne for example)
