Default zex nitrous

I was on the zex web site and they said 75shot 0 retard, 100shot 2 retard, 125shot 4 retard. They also said that the zex kit reads the pressure so you wouldnt go to lean or rich. So does this mean that I dont need a tune for a 75 shot just 1 step colder plugs. Im trying for 13s in the 1/4 .

Are you trying to run a ZEX dry shot or Wet shot? Your best off with the wet kit from ZEX. The dry kit is a BS kit that you will see around a 40hp gain with a 75shot. Wet kit will do you alot better. A tune is recommended with any nitrous setup, but with the ZEX it's not needed running a 75shot, besides the colder plugs. Yes it does have a FPSS within the "brain box" where if the fuel pressure drops at all the nitrous will shut itself off. I myself have throw the ZEX kit;s wet and dry on plenty of mustangs/z28's/TA's and various imports and none of them have had a tune and run just fine, but a tune would be a good thing to ensure the Air/Fuel ratio is good just to be even safer.

wet shot. Would a 75 shot be worth doning Im trying to be in the 13s or should I just do a 100 shot. I dont want spend 500 on a tune. Because I have a superchip programmer.

a 75 wet shot will put you in the 13's. I ran a 80 dry shot and went 13.3 with a STOCK 04 gt. That was the day after i got the car i ran it with 17k miles on it. The 100shot would be fine too, the tune would just to be sure the A/F is good and not too lean but the ZEX kit shuts off if it goes lean, so not much to worry about there. I'de say throw a 100shot at it like a champ and put some drag radials on.....have fun.

Is there any thing else that I should do. This is my daily driver and I dont want to blew it up.

Well if you've got the kit hooked up correctly, colder plugs..it should be fine. But like I said if you want to ensure it it is safe, get a dyno tune. Otherwise if all if done right you should be good to go. Be sure you double check the pills your put in for the shot to make sure that is the shot you want to run also! I've made the mistake with pills and put a 200shot in a car by mistake...the car did take it but it was harsh.
