nitrous for a 96 stang
I have a 96 stang I need to make faster. I was thinking about zex 100 shot. I was wonder what I need. I think I have a good idea, but Iwant to make sure. Also how and when do i use it. I know after 3000rpms.
Mods: 70 mm pleumn,tb,cai,steeda udps,4:10's,and superchip programmer,mac catted h pipe,and magnaflow catback.

is it auto or manual?
If its a manual you will want a window switch such as the one MSD makes or the like. They let you preset the rpms that the nitrous will turn on and then off at thus the "window" of operation.
Other then that you will want to run a set of colder spark plugs such as NGK TR6's or Autolite 103's. A tune is a good idea or at the very least do as i did and get a wideband a/f guage on it so you can see how its running. Other then that you dont have to do anything else.
Me i would at the least get a wideband on it,toss in colder plugs (this is a must) and get a bottle heater so you can get the most out of the system.
I will get into some more once i knwo what tranny you have.

It would drive the same with the spark plugs, only difference would be when you first drive the car its a bit touchy then its fine (atleast my car is for 10 secs or so).
Since your an auto you dont even need a window switch you can simpley turn the system on once your over 3k rpms and thats it when your done you let off the throttle and the nitrosu will turn off because the WOT switch will be off since you wont be at WOT.

Like i siad you would simpley turn on the nitrous system once you were above 3k rpms yourself. THen since your at WOT it would spray nitrous. Since your an auto you would want to do a jerry mod or the like to your valve body becuase you will spray threw the shifts. once your done running simpley let off the thorttle and the system turns off thanks to that WOT switch.
a 75shot can drop you 1sec or less a 100shot would do more. It dends heavily on traction and gearing how much it will help. My an example my freinds f150 which is a 99 reg cab short bed with an auto and 5.4 had a 100shot e-fans and intake thats it. Went from 15.0@84 to a 13.98@98 i think was the mph. SO it can really help if you can plant the power.
