It won't fit because the lightning motor is a 5.4l and is wider than what a 4.6 is. Sorry bud but don't waste your money.

Just like 330 said the 5.4 has a much taller deck height and so the manifold doesnt fit. No one currently makes a lower to put a eaton on the 4.6 2v or the 3.8 v6.

just go out and buy a whole lightning motor, then drop it in your stang. Fits like a glove as long as you cut holes through the hood....

even if it would fit the motor, it'd require a 5"+ cowl hood which is kinda unsightly on street cars.
Save up and buy a Kenne Bell kit if you want a roots type blower. They're really great and make sick power. |

Nope but we've had guys putting on supercoupe eaton's for a long time on the pre 99's. Not to mention the 99+ guys now are starting to fab up our own lowers for the M112 Eaton's from the 03-04 cobra's. You can do anything if you have the time and money.

That's an interesting thought... would the m112 fit on a KB lower? What about an M90? I'm fully aware of the need for other fabrication for the inlet and all that jazz but hoping someone knows about simple bolt up to the manifold itself.
And, check out my 5.4 swap sticky thread in 4.6 tech if you're interested in 5.4 swaps. It's not as hard or expensive as you think and if you just stick a 5.4 in there you can see 12's on regular unleaded with a correct tune. |
