Seeing that you have a non-pi motor and an auto it will take a lot of boost and a lot of engine mods to see 400hp. Now, you also have to decide if you are looking for 400 Wheel Horsepower or 400 Crank Horsepower. 400 crank is a much more realistic goal for you with your current setup.

hell, 400whp isnt that far of a stretch. .

PI H/C/I swap, maybe get a little port job before they go in, do exhaust and some bolt ons, then an 11psi procharger kit 3 core IC and BOOM

My opinion for what it's worth, get the Procharger S/C, it is easiest to install, and you don't have to drill a hole in you oil pan. It's totally self contained, the oiling system that is. Just change it like you do you car engine oil. Every 3,000 miles, I hope that's when you change it anyway. Look them up, I'm sure you'll agree.

I thought the Prochargers have bad seals and always leak?

no - actually there is no seal - along th bottom anyway - people claim the turbine seal leaks - but this happens no more so than any other supercharger - basically theyre are all just as good quality wise - but the power and step up ratios are different.

I would still change it the same time I change my engine oil, that way you don't forget.

some people had problems with them leaking. They found out alot of times if you run 3/4 of a bottle of procharger oil rather then a full bottle it pretty much stops the leaks and doesnt hurt the blower.

I would also recomend ati as there kits are pretty easy to install no pan tapping, And makes great power. its really up to you though.

Please do not base your purchase solely on the fact of punching a hole in your oil pan. It was the EASIEST part of the installation.

Its not hard by any means just a pain in the ass to get it in square and nice. Like i said there all good blowers.I think adding the T-fitting to the oil pressure sender was more of a pain in the ass really. If i was him i would go by what i can get the best deal on if hes not set on what blower he wants.

Spike, I posted the same time you did, I was not replying to your post. I was just making the point that most people get discouraged because they have to punch the pan.

Actually, when I did mine, I went in on an angle with the punch, then, tapped it straight on.

I've never heard of them leaking, guess you learn something new everyday here. The thing I liked about a self contained oiling system was that you didn't run the risk of getting some contaminated oil up in your expensive S/C, and Procharger was the only one I knew of. Is there more out there, and do they make more power? If so please share the info, many people here would like to know. I'll still go with a self contained oiling system though, to old to change my thinking on that.

damn that's purdy.

I don't like procharger... not enough oil volume to cool and lubricate such a precision item. Same thing with powerdyne... no likey belts where gears should be.

Paxton or Vortech, premium product at a modest price. Otherwise, roots type.
