Default Thinking about nitrous

I am thinking about buying the venom 1000. But i have a couple questions. Thanks

1. Do i need a custom dyno tune to use it or is my predator tune ok?

2. Where can i get the bottle refilled and how much does it cost?

3. I know its safe, but is it worth the risk?

I guess as the local Venom expert, I shall take this......-lol

1 - The Venom 1000 is designed to run on a stock tune. You may use the predator to retard your timin a degree or so if you wish BUT do NOT run nitrous on any car with the timing advanced. If you have a standard predator tune that advances timing, then you need to return your program to stock before spraying or retard the timing.

2 - speed shops, some tracks, and some auto parts stores. Bottles cost $35 - $70 to fill.

3 - This is ONLY a question you can answer. Are you worried about your warranty? Then don't spray...hell, don't modify at all. But, the Venom systems are probably the safest on the market. This is a great kit especially for a beginner or just someone wanting to play it safe.

so i would be ok with the tune as long as i adjust the timing. Do i just find out what the stock timing is andd reset it to that?

I am not sure exactly what you are asking, so let me just emphasize, do NOT advance timing when running nitrous. Either return you program to stock, OR use a program designe for nitrous. I fyou have a tuner, you may or m,ay not be able to retard your timing depending on what tuner you are using.

Stock tune on 99-04 GT's is good for a 150 shot. Theres guys running around with 160 shots on stock tune. I heard of one guy that ran a 200 shot on a 96 GT with the stock tune and it lived. 100 shot is really very conservative with the stock tune.
