Default gaskets needed for cam install

Hey Randy, answer this whenever you get a chance, I'm in no hurry. I'm going to be putting in some new cams and valvesprings in my car in 2 months and I was wondering if you could help me out with what gaskets I need to get replaced when I'm putting everything back together. Thanks!

Default not much

I assume becuase you put "cams" your talking about your 4.6 mod motor. I have a 5.0 but from what I've seen helping my buddy you won't need much. Valve cover, water pump and any other gasgets that go to parts you need to take off the front of the motor to ge to the cam chains on the front of the motor.

definately one of the wedges, and a spring compressor, and anything else you recommend to make the install easier

Christie, youll have to see what Randy says, but everyone Ive heard that has done multiple swaps say the little cam tool from Anderson sucks. Many said they would just recommend pulling the front cover and that its not that much more trouble.

well if your going to use the cam wedge tool then you really shouldn't need any gaskets. the only thing you would be taking off is the cam covers and as long as you are carefull removing them, those gaskets are reusable
