I'm pretty sure around 400 hp would be pushing it.

I've read somewhere that the 99-04 Mustang SOHC 2V is rated at 527 engine HP and 450 RWP. I would say even pushing 400 RWHP would be pushing it

wheels. I've read of a guy running 550 RWHP on stock block, heads, and crank. He had a forged one ready to go though when his blew. The thing that blows the engine is detonation. A good dyno tune and greatly reduce this risk, therefore a less chance to "blow" your engine.

Numbers should stay under 400 for an automatic.

I would say 380 - 400 rwhp is right where you want to be.

Yea, like they said, anything above 400 rwhp and you are driving on borrowed time. Just remember, its better to have a little less hp, but be reliable than to have 500 rwhp and blow the engine the first time you nail it.
