I picked up a set of lightly used 13" rotors and calipers from a friend of mine for my '02 GT. I noticed on the new sets from FRP that they come with brake hoses. I did not get the brake hoses. Do I need to pick a pair up? It seems like the additional 1/2 inch out wouldn't require new hoses and I'm going to have a hard enough time keeping this expenditure from the wife let alone to spend $80.00 more on the hoses. Any input?

 

Get the hoses. They are longer than your stock GT, and it wouldn't be a bad idea to check out some stainless sets (cost about the same the oe Ford) that will firm up the pedal and give you quicker response.

You don't want to have your brake hoses "stretch". Bad idea.

Def. get the stainless lines.

 

i used my stock brake lines. the only thing that you may need is extra crush washers thats it. if you want to paint them this would be the best time to do it also. i got a real thick coat of glossy black on mine it looks like i powder coated them. paint the brackets as well they tend to rust. i been driving with these for at least 15k.
