Default Need some help with my tune

The guy who is tunning my 2002 GT (with mods in sig) has been tuning for 15 years but he's mostly delt with the LS1 cars. He has tuned mustangs before but none with the SCT XCAL 2 so needless to say, im the giny pig. Does anybody know of where I can get some Timing charts or does anybody have a timing chart I can use as a baseline? My timinging is off about 15 degrees so needless to say the car isnt making Sh*t for power on the dyno.

If your tuner is not an SCT certified tuner then I'm not sure he's going to be able to help you alot. He has to have the proper software to even tune it doesn't he? There is only so much you can do through the Xcal2.

There is a book on SCT Tuning software...i'd imagine it might be in there. Check out Modulardepot.com they sell the book their for around $75. You could give that a try.

Hope that helps,
Philip K.

One thing you DO NOT want to be the giny pig on is tuning.

take that tune off immediately. you could cause damage to your engine with a bad tune, and try to get someone who knows how to tune mustangs and is familiar with the sct platform.

theres no doubt in my mind my tune will be dead on however the guy from SCT that helps him is on vacation. He is a certified SCT dealer and he's tuned mustangs before. Just none that have my combination. Heads, cams ect.

Wait til he comes back then. Its a bad idea to go and have someone inexperienced attempt to tune your car and **** everything up.

Yes, just be patient. You have way too much money in that car to screw it up and be a giny pig. Just wait till the guy gets back.
