Default BBK LT&x-pipe -vs- O/R H-pipe for stock setup, anyone with real world dyno#'s?

I have both the BBK setup (LT and catted Xpipe) and a MAC off road H pipe for shorties. I can installl the MAC for free now or wait a month or two and do the BBK setup. I'm just curious if anyone has dynoed a LT combo vs just an offroad pipe. Not too concerned with the peak to peak numbers but actual usuable power differences. Long tubes have to be worth at least 20-30tq over the o/r H pipe alone, anyone with actual comparisons and driving experiences?

unless you have boost...then you wont really benefit from LT's. yes you will get better results with lt's than stock manifolds and shorties in general, but the restults of LT's on an N/A car and installation/the pain in the *** to install doesnt justify the cost at all.

My car gained 17rwhp and 13rwtq after longtubes, catted x, and custom tune. Was worth .3 in the quarter mile.

hardly the case.

longtubes are known to yeild anywhere from 15-25rwhp/tq. Where pure is probably pointing is that that small return is not much compared to the 800-1000 dollars it will cost to get them installed.

I can get them installed for $300.00, plus I purchased them (headers/cat pipe) used for $400.00. I think that's a pretty good deal!

If you wanna get LTs I suggest doing the work yourself. Its not as bad as everyone says. I really didnt know that much about cars when I did mine and I finished in about 3 days. This site has the step by step directions I followed when installing mine. LTS are definitely worth it...performance and sound. http://www.fnsweet.com/garage/ltinstall.shtml

Then it's definitely a deal. Do them! I paid $425 to have mine installed, and that is what most performance shops in my area charge. Then the tune cost me $350.

Sounds like a plan to me! Now I'm just debating on keeping the BBK catted X or looking for a used off-road H pipe (I still have a set pf MIL eliminators lying around).
Either way it will be done in the next couple of months.
Now it's time to search for a 4.10 for sale!

AWESOME numbers!!! Is that with just the LTs and catted mid? 25rwhp and 50rwtq WOW
I haven't installed mine yet, waiting for some time and cash.
Of course I have a 2V 4.6 so my numbers will be less.

Lets not forget better fuel mileage and cooler operating temps too. Any future Mustang of mine WILL have L/T's PERIOD!
