what happens is the pullies will slow down the recharge rate of your battery. thus killing your battery.

Just purchase a capacitor. It's cheaper than buying a new alt. Mine systems hit fine and I have underdrive pulleys.

I've only ever seen around 6hp from 4K rpm upwards on 96-04 GT's. Low end doesn't seem to benefit much at all. That's from seeing gobs of dyno tests. They've never seemed worth it other than the Steeda set coming with an SFI approved balancer which usually is kinda expensive. That's the best part of the pullies... the balancer.

maybe its because i have a fox body 5.0, and u guys have 4.6's.
i dont know. but i do know that since ive had them ive had some charging problems. on 5.0's the car doesnt even charge till around 1000 rpms.

If your saving for a super charger for last, why would you buy N/A cams??? your car will run horrible with n/a cams and a s/c....I would attempt to return those quickly and gets something else than cams or get the s/c cams

Im only putting the N/A cams in my car cause it going to almost 2 yrs before i get the new engine a supercharge in my car, The only reason its going to take long i cause im starting college in 2 months, and that put a hault to most of the stuff i want done to my car, Im not gonna be running the stage 2 N/A with a supercharger!

a vortech on 8psi would be really safe on your stock motor...

I just installed vt stage 2 n/a cams. Have fun with it, I sure as heck wouldn't want to pull it back apart again to put blower cams in 2 years from now. On the the underdrive pulleys subject, I have all 3 steeda underive's on mine and a 700 watt amp on a single 12, no issues with charging or dead batteries as of yet, and they have been on for over 2 yrs now...

well i had my battery slowly die on me, and i have pullies and a system. But new battery has been fine for about 9 months now. So no charging issues yet. But the old battery did slowly die, i knew it was coming. I got the VT stage 2's also, cant wait to get out of this hell hole and put them in when i get home.
