I need some feedback from you guys. I have a 5.4 with 01 4.6 manifolds, off-road h-pipe, and 2 flowmaster 40 series with no tailpipes. On the highway it resonates so bad you can feel the pressure popping your eardrums. Seriously, my g/f makes me roll down the windows cause it hurts her delicate ears. I like the sound, but I need to cut out the droning or she won't drive me home when I've drank too much. I have about 100-200 to spend, any suggestions?

Has anyone tried duals out the side? any pics would be cool.

I would try the MaganFlow's, they are some what a suddle muffler, and when you final get into the throttle is when you hear it some. I have them on my GT and was surprised too, I didnt want a loud muffler, but wanted to something to hear when I did get into the throttle and they are exactly that.

or just stop getting hammered...

borla xp pro or magnaflow (not magnapak). You can also use a cherry bomb glasspack in front of them to help mellow the sound. In that configuration you replace the flowtubes with the cherry bombs. Should deepen the WOT note too.

Dynamat is the bomb for cutting the nut shaking resonance.

I had dumped flows on a catted bassani X and it just flat hurt around 1400-2200rpm. My borlas are great and still have a nice sound.

I second the dyno mat or simular product....if you like the sound it might cut out the drone to a managable level with the windows up....

That'd cost more than 200 for just the side skirts required. I don't have any pics, but I've seen a white stang with a Roush exhaust and it looked nasty badass.

I didn't want the side skirts. I was considering running the tailpipes from the mufflers to right in front of the rear tires. It has looked BA on my older stangs, but I'm not sure there's enough ground clearance to do it on my 01.
