Default Intake Spacer

Does the intake spacer actually work, is it worth the money? Anyone running one?

1-2 hp if you find one for 15 bucks or less, it's a decent deal, anything more IMO is a waste.

Get an afternarket plenum and you can pick up 8-10 hp. It requires no spacer, the extra height is built in.

Intake spacer will fit but won't help at all. Sell it or return it.

I say install it. If it feels like you lost power (too much volume) remove it. If not, keep it. Or you could dyno with and without.

everyone argues this on all the forums, if intake and TB spacers really work. Some say you can 2-5 RWHP but now one ever dyno's before and after results. I personaly don't think its worth spending 40-60 on something that may do nothing for you. I don't see how it can give you to much volume to cause a problem. I have seen some monster intake spacers on 87-95 5.0s but the spacers for the 96-04's just don't seem as popular.
But, seeing as you already bought it. Put it on and tell us what you think of it.

i just bought my intake spacer and throtle body spacer as well as a new TB/Plenum package. should all be here this week and hope to install it the day it comes. im hoping to get 2 hp with each spacer for a total of 4 which is not bad for the price. they have tb spacers and intake spacer packages on Ebay for like $50 bucks. ppl spend like $400 dollars for like 8 hp so why not 50 bucks for 4 hp? thats if they work but i'll take a risk for the cheap money.

They will give you better throttle response and maybe a little HP. A couple of local guys have different ones and they say they helped. One guy has the Poweraid spacer and it whistles and sounds kind of cool.
