Default Need Help!!!!

Went to the track today. On the way home I see smoke coming from the rear of my car...I pull over and I see transmission fluid leaking all over the place. I get my car home and take a look and it is leaking from the rear of the transmission where the driveshaft goes into it. Is there a bearing there?? I need some help on this one. Thanks

Bragg

Is the smoke coming from inside the tranny or is it because the fluid is leaking on top of something hot?

It is from the fluid blowing on the mufflers....The leak is from the Tailshaft seal. I can move it with my fingers. I am going to take it in tomorrow. Thanks for the reply.

I've had tailshaft seals go out pretty often on my 5sp cars, especially with IRS's for some reason. They're easy to change so i've taken to just keeping a spare.
