Has anyone had Cams installed??? If so how much did they charge you for install??

I was quoted 600 bucks awhile back but found someone to do them for 350.

2003 DSG GT 5-speed Hellion 62mm and Flowmaster catback..... My bonestock 2v engine had been through 2 years of NX 100 shot, 3 years running 8-12lbs vortech s-trim, got into boost daily while racing on the weekends, had 157,000 miles on it, and was running like new |

honestly, i would do the install myself if i were you, there are great write ups available and i did a VT stage II install w/ springs and all and it only took a couple of days....plus you have piece of mind knowing that there were no shortcuts taken and that no one beat on your car...plus that 400-600 bucks can to go something else...headers??

well..if u look at christie's car..4 hp under 300 w/ cams and exhaust...and lil things here and there...no intake or that stuff

my car has full exhaust, cai, 75mm tb and plenum, and then udp, like he said im 4 hp under 300
i say its 110% worth it, i love my cams

only reason i would stay away from stage 2's is if you dont want to pay/do it yourself on the valvesprings and you dont like a car that shakes at idle

I'd say get cams in a heartbeat....UNLESS you plan on getting a supercharger. Stage 2 cams hurt the s/c ability to make boost
