Unhappy Computer questions?!?!

Hey guys in the next few years i'm going to add a lot of mods to my stang (heads, cams, exhaust, etc) now i want to get my computer right to handle these mods so... should i get like the diablo sport thing and send it to diablo for a custom tune or will ineed to send it in. Or should i simply take my car to a local tuner shop and have them do custom tuning maybe add a chip or something? I know nothing about stang computers please tell me what to do!!!

For minor mods, the standard mail-order tune will be fine that comes with any of the products, but if you get into things like cams you will need a custom tune. And for stage 2 cams, you will need a dyno tune.

Sounds like you want something that will grow with you over the years, right?

If so, I think SCT products are best for that. If you have the SCT Flash Tuner (for example) you can have your tunes emailed to you (I beleive you can witht he Diablo too now), so they are attractive as you make changes.

BUT, if you have a good, reliable tuner in your area use what they use! If they use Diablo then get Diablo. If they use SCT, then get SCT. BUT don't let them talk you into a dyno tune with just a few bolt on mods unless they work ya a nice deal. For example, a chip is going to run you $300 any way you look at it. If they say for $400 they will get you the chip, install it, and dyno tune then that's a killer of a deal plus you get the dyno data. Some of these places when you are a regular, will let you come back for cheap to make adjustments.

Having a tuner close by is GOLDEN. I wish i did.
