Default Best Mustang Computer Tuner

Im looking at getting a computer tuning for my stang, I would just like to get some feedback which one you all would recommend. Here is a list of the mod's I have done already.

2004 Mustang GT
C&L Upper Plenum
BBK Cold Air Intake
BBK 75mm TB
Mach 1 Grill Delete
Mach 1 Chin Spoiler
Full UPR Stainless Interior Package
UPR stainless Radiator cover
Steeda Underdrive pullies
8" UPR shorty antena
Simco Pro gauages (from MT)
Customer Pioneer DVD Deck, with Alpine and subwoofer
Roush Valve covers and oil cap
Roush Trunk Mounted tool kit
Drilled and sloted rotors
Racing Red Duplicolor brake caliper kit

P.S - Im starting a new website called Projectcars.net , and Im looking for editors that would like to contribute some articles. The website will be available for any make and model of car and will allow you to have your own section to track the progress of your car and let everyone else look at it as well.

Thanks Guys
Matt

you dont need a tune yet. if i was you i would get some more mods before i got the tune otherwise you'll be sending it back for a retune. but even so a tune will give you some good numbers, i just think its a bit early on for you to get one. And me personly i like SCT
software, they have them here, at modular depot and justin at velocity mustang performance is a awsome tuner.

I would buy the Diablo Predator hand held tuner. With the Predator you will gain a little power from their preprogrammed tunes and you can also change your speedometer calibration to correct for gearing changes or different tire sizes and you can read or clear codes and can remove the tune if you want to go in for warranty repairs to the dealer.

Ported heads and cams for example.

You don't need a tune, per se, but using a programmer/chip to advance your timing and lean up your a/f a tad, will add some hp.

Also, programmers/chips are useful for other things:

- Gear calibration
- reading SES codes and clearing them (programmers only)
- changeing water temp/fan setting
- adjusting shift points (autos)
- a must need for nitrous

How did the brake caliper paint kit work out on your car? American Muscle is now carrying caliper covers, a great solution to painting calipers. Check it out at http://www.americanmuscle.com/caliper-covers-red.html. The SN95 years were just released and will be posted soon.

Do they sell them for any other year? Why do they cost so much?
