We then crossed our fingers ready to start turn the key and

She fired up and purred like a kitten!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Ahhhh! you gotta love the wine of a super chasrger when ya pin er. She run's perfect!!!!
Not a leak or anything to fix! great!!!!!!!!!!

MY son Derek and I hope some of you enjoyed this build and if ever you needs a few questions about contact us and we will try to help ya all
Anyone who is considering a roushcharger don't hesitate. The quality of the parts, instructions andhow it has the looks of a factory installed kit. The fact that it runs so good right out of the box you can't go wrong. It was a very easy install to do. lots of steps but not hard. I think anybody would enjoy doing this and to know how it all fits together.

He has the roush ECU which is the same way they come from the factory supercharged tune. it wouldnt be a bad idea to get it tuned, but his a/f and everything else should be completly safe from normal street driving, to WOT.

Badfish 01-01-2006 07:05 PM

swesome man...now get got a tune :)

Nope roush flashed the cpu and I installed excactly the way they wanted. I even took off k&N filter and reinstalled the fact. airbox that we modified as per instructions. I can't see it running any better then what it is now.Roush definetly knew what they were doing with this kit. Probably why they make for only selected fords and all there effort and engineering is a lot better..

stang00 01-01-2006 07:20 PM

when u going to get it dynoed i wanna see some numbers

Badfish 01-01-2006 07:26 PM

u really should put the k&n back on..its not gonna change anythign in the tune, but it will let more air in , the stock one is too restrictive...but i know your not gonna listen to me, your too damn stubborn lol

Actually with the bigger dirty air inlet and the highflow air filter they supplied i think is going to be ok. You with the K&N on I found that the temp of air being sucked in was just as hot as the engine . the factory air takes cooler air from insaide the fender well. The k&n did look cosmeticaly alot better but I don't think it was better. In the roush instructions they said a cai makes to much air turbulance for the maf to work properly. Hell in this install you move the maf sensor 10" away from airbox???? You wouldn't think that it would make much of difference but they did for a reason. And it runs poerfectly as it is now right out of the box!! no code lights etc.

dannyb785 01-01-2006 07:47 PM

tooltime, does the roush have an aftermartket exhaust system?

No they don't have the cmcv as they call it. They use this little black box they call a cmcv replictator to fool the pcm into thinking they are still on the car. I thought was kinda neat thinking on their part

cool...now u deffff need rims, those bullits are doin NOTHIN for ur stang

WaterDR 01-02-2006 07:41 AM

I am only respnding to this thread to say "I hate you"!

SpinMedia 01-02-2006 07:59 AM

I gotto agree with springstang, you plan on getting new rims?, Those rims look to small for that car, they really kill the look.

WaterDR 01-02-2006 08:11 AM

I am cool with the rims, but I think some white ones would be killer.

Creed at CJ Pony in Harrisburg has a very similar stang. White with red stripes and he had the same stock wheels as yours. But, then switched to white ones.

http://www.cjponyparts.com/

Under the section where is says 3D Carbon Kits, the pic of the white car is not his, but that is exactly what his car looks like except he does not have those big massive rims. I think he got 18's.

I have been leaning towards white wheel also. I am doing bigger brakes next project and I wll do wheels at the same time. I hate the look of bigger wheels when the brakes are still standard size.

Great thread now lets hear some driving impressions. What's it like now that it's boosted? The step by step pictures were awesome!!!!!

madmatt 01-03-2006 08:30 AM

Yes, definately needs some new wheels. Gotta be at least 18's too.
