Just found this thread while searching my site traffic and wanted to say hello (and Merry Christmas!) to you guys.

The Raptor Claw is something I designed with the approval and guidance from Rick, the owner of Raptor Performance. He's got a great product, and I wanted to incorporate it into my pillar design, but the provided clips were not the answer. So, I made small clamping mechanism our customers can choose (or add later) to their pillar.

Here's another shot of the pillar with Nexus gauges and the Raptor in place:

Here is a closeup of the mount by itself (the only two ever in billet!):

This is how the clamp works, shown in an empty Raptor casing:

Hope this helps answer a few of your questions.

*EDIT* Stanger00, are the "off-brand" gauges that look like Nexus from SPW? If so, they DO NOT fit my pods, too deep. Only brand in 2 1/16" I've ever had a problem with.

*drool*

The pillar with nexus gauges looks so badass! There are sooo many temptations for me to buy things but I really need that cobra brake upgrade all around or im not stopping when the car comes out in april. my brakes were toast when it went away.

lol, positive.. the light works fine.. it just throws a SES light when its hooked up (saying the fuel pump is disabled when obviously it's not). I have hooked it up a couple different times to make sure and tried everything.. I dunno anymore.

No problem. I saw your post and thought it would be good to catch you if that was the combo you were planning. Not sure why, but those 7 color SPW gauges (Nexus look-alikes) are almost 2.75 inches deep! Seriously, almost twice that of an Autometer or other gauge. Doesn't even come close to fitting my pillar. They look cool, though.

yeah my car does hate me. The night before I dynoed it I installed an Accufab 75mm tb and plenum, the next day on the dyno the TPS broke and it took like 2 hours to get straightened out because the symptoms were really weird. and now this ****.

the guy from raptor told me to only hook 1 wire up at a time and see if it works lol

why would you leave the black one unhooked??? the black one is the ground wire, nothing will work w/o a ground wire

lol, I think this is why I haven't tried what he said yet. I told him I thought it was defective and he told me he was 99% sure it wasn't

csled,

Sorry your having trouble. I think there may have been a misunderstanding. I was talking about disconnecting the green wire of the shift light, leaving power and ground. I wanted to see if only having power on the shift light, the problem persists. I have seen a similar situation where the power was being taken from the wrong location (12 volts for a sensor apparently) and it caued problems with the car.

hmm.. what do you mean the power taken from the wrong location? as is in just having it hooked up to the wrong red wire?

well I don't see how the power could be taken from the wrong source, it was hooked up exactly how it is on the pics from the site
