You havent really seen florida have you?
Ive come across some unnecessarily twisty roads out in the more rural areas. They're actually really annyoing to drive.

That's the good part of Orlando. While most of the roads are boring here. Just a short drive out and we have some fun roads to tear up. Then you can jump back on the interstate and haul ***. Best of both worlds. I mean its not like up in Boone,NC where I go in the summer sometimes, but its still fun.

Southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky both have many very challenging roads. Nearing NC mountain twisty. Out in the country, the roads are twisty as ****...55mph speed limit on them(they should be 35 honestly)

but you florida asses get the weather. Id trade a few twisty roads for no winter.

True, but this cold weather we have been having sucks. I haven't been able to ride hardly at all the past 4 weeks. Rode maybe a total of 4 days out of those past 4 weeks.

Got to put on over 350miles this weekend with bikeweek though. Suck on that!

Only shitty part is I had to spend $170 on a leather jacket once I got there because it was so cold. I couldn't make it riding back in my textile one with the liner in it. Just not enough warmth in that. I was cold after that hour and 40min ride there. Got a great deal on the jacket though. And it looks badass. Old school style.

3rd option.....

keep the v-star, because you like it and its comfortable to ride....

buy a used Hayabusa, ZX-12 or ZX14......even a used 1000cc sportbike will get you into the 9's with very few mods or money.

have the best of all worlds.

PS: you could buy a beater GSXR-1100 and be running low 9's for $3k-$4kk...if you have the ***** too ride it that fast....lol

I'm not into sport bikes. I am a muscle cruiser guy. The sport bikes just aren't for me right now. Nor do I want two bikes to deal with.

However I do have an interesting deal in the works. Found a guy who has a 04 Yamaha Warrior who is looking to sell it and get a Vstar. Happen to see his ad on craigslist. We have been talking the past 2 days and might do a simple swap plus some cash from me. Would get me a faster bike for much cheaper then a Vmax.

Sadly the more I look at the financial of the Vmax its just to far out of my league right now.

the Warrior is more on the Vrod power and speed level, but much cheaper. Not totally what I wanted, but could hold me over for another year or two until the Vmaxs get cheaper and I can get one of those. I went to a dealer and talked $$$ and I can't make myself pay what they want a month for a bike. I would go get a Ford Lightning before I spent the kind of money they wanted for payments a month.

We will see what happens. Who knows I might find a killer deal on a Vmax and call it a day lol.

Go with what you can manage. It won't matter how fun the bike is if making the payments screws with your life

Well I found out he is almost 2 hours away from me. He posted it in the Orlando craigslist but he lives just a bit north of Tampa,FL. I am trying to get him to meet me half way with titles. That way if we like what we see we can go to the bank I can give him cash and sign and swap titles over. I hope this pans out. I need something faster!!!!

Hopefully on sunday I can post a new pic of this:
