Those people are ******* idiots. 9 times out of 10 a well built mustang will whoop souped up z. Thats my opinion and Im sticking to it.

 

sorry, but mustang gt (1999-2004) and 350z's are pretty well matched (stock - stock). if it weren't for the torque of the mustang 350's would dominate. but since we have alomst 50 more tq than they do, we get off the line better.

my friend and i have tested this, he has an 05 z and from a dig or roll, i always had him by at most a car, at least a half car. but that was me with my mods (exhaust, tune, shifter, suspension) and him and his stock (minus exhaust).

as much as i love 350z's, i cannot stand most of the attitudes some of their drivers have, but i guess thats any car really.

now im ranting..im done, just give me my viper or c6 z06 and i wont have to worry about 350's LOL

I CRUSHED a heavily modded 350z right after I got the 5.4 put in. Could hear a little whistle under the hood and still smoked him. no matter what they do to those things they're never going to be fast and they'll always seemingly be playing catchup with a real muscle car like a Stang or Marrow.

Yea thats nonsense. I had a guy that worked with me that had a 05 or 06 Z and he would always talk **** about my car. When I asked him to go to this deserted road he would always say that he couldn't win the race... I like the way Z's look but the drivers of some of them are crazy

 

07+Z's beat 99-04 GT's all day. Pretty even matchup if the GT has gears. But I could only squeeze a 13.7 out of my 4.10d GT while my buddies stock auto 07 Z ran a 13.55.

definitely sounds like a solid ricer fly by story. I have driven my dad's 06 Z several times, and it is definitely comparable (as far as straight line speed/performance) to a 99-04 Gt. With the stories those guys and gals are telling they make it sound like they are putting bus length's on these mustangs. And the worst is most of those guys talking seem to have stock or basic bolt on modded z's. They must be racing alot of stockish V6's to be destroying, or doing alot of ricer fly by's in my opinion.

I think a drag strip is a little different. That definitely goes into the driver and also the grip a little bit more than on the street. IMHO I think running a car on the track only gives you a general idea of what it'll actually do on the street. Can't hook on the strip, you're not gonna hook on the road. I think the main thing of Zs is the lack of torque like what has already been stated, and the fact that with such a high compression most guys who slap on turbos run only 5lbs of boost on the stock block w/ stock compression because it'll blow otherwise. I have yet to see a heavily modded Z that truly impressed me, beautiful cars but they are not meant for straight-line racing.

A stock 05+ sti will rip a 350Z in half on the streets, and in the twisties well-tuned AWD > RWD.

I could pull on 350zs stock in my car no problem. Half of them were the ones that kept trying to get me to race, and then when they lost they'd go flying by me like the ricers always do. Oh and a side note, everyone of them I ever saw had sunglasses, huge spiked over-hairsprayed hair, and a polo lol. Douchebaggery at its finest.

I disagree. I completely agree with the mustang ricer comments they made. We've had a lot of people come on here thinking their stock GT is the **** and have big huge 22" rims, or useless exterior mods with retarded paint schemes.

Even you yourself once had a ricer-ish mustang but luckily you saw the true way.

I see a few ragged camaros, but for every camaro there are at least two fucked up mustangs.

However, unlike a civic, they can be done right and look twice as good as many 350Zs (as well as more original). Every Z I've ever seen was silver with black wheels, had HIDs, and was dropped but yet was completely stock motor wise. Not saying they don't look clean but everyone follows the same path, kind of like mustangs and bullitt wheels lol.

lol just finally read all the way through it..... Where i live we have alot more ghetto mustangs than camaros. i need to take a picture of this guys 05-09 GT at work he has a steeda wing but for his exhaust he only has one new muffler plus tip and the other one is the original GT muffler and tip...... its funny. he also has a cowl hood so i dont know why he cant get the other muffler

My view is that it's easy to **** up a Mustang due to the amount of retarted aftermarket support there is. Lots of mustang drivers out there who just put whatever on thier car and think it's da bombz.

New Muffler is on passenger side where the v6 would be.
