Default So i got my aquarium up and running!!!

So after much research and reading on the net, i decided against a Cichlid tank. No really big reason other than just the fact that that's what most folks have and ya'll know i like to be different Soooo... Here's what i ended up doing... 2 Clown Loaches, 3 Red-Tail Tinfoil Barbs, 1 Leporinus Fasciatus, and I'm definitely going to add a Black Ghost Knife once i make sure my tank is good and established. I may also throw in an African Spotted Leaf as well but i haven't decided. Anyhow, here's a quick video I shot a few minutes ago with my phone.

Aquarium all set up with a few fish!!!

What ya'll think?

Thanks. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. And the best part is all I've got in the whole damn setup is the cost of the fish. Everything else was free. By the way Pro, I don't know if the video quality was really pixelated but when i clicked to view it, it was so i put a different source in the link and now its crystal clear. Check it out now.

nice tank! I have cichlids, i spent about 100 dollars on 4 of them and now they are already fighting each other. So its a good thing you wanted to be different and not get cichlids.

I came REALLY close to doing a cichlid tank, just because of the colorfulness of them and the many varieties... but im glad i went the route i did. Once i get the black ghost knife in there i think it will really be a kickass tank when they all start getting bigger. The clown loaches get to be about 10-12 inches, the tinfoil barbs about hand sized, the Leporinus gets to be 10-12 inches, and the black ghost knife will get to 16-20 inches

LOL yeah they'll be big eventually they're all pretty slow growers so... I picked my fish with purpose And goldfish are the WORST fish EVER!!! They're messy as hell and require more upkeep. LOL it kills me that stores sell them as "great starter fish" That's the furthest thing from the truth Ha!!!

looks good. Those fish are gonna look cool when they get bigger. you will need a bigger tank before before the fish reach full size. (u prob kno that) I've had goldfish...and piranhas.. goldfish were just the food, so not hard to upkeep since they were gonna die anyway.

After having piranhas, I couldnt have any other fish. Something about being able to drop a giant frog in the tank and watch it get instantly ripped to shreds... a tad more exciting. But I do get the whole visual part with cool looking fish.

nice looking tank. i love watching a nice clean fish tank. too bad you have to clean them to keep them looking that good. i guess that's why i don't have one. i don't feel like keeping up with the cleaning on it.

That's cool man, I want a fish tank, but right now, I'd be ******* with them and they'd die.
