Default Magazine cover

Had to do a magazine cover for publication design, only rules were the name of the magazine had to be Carnival, and it needed to have 10 blurbs.

I did a car magazine of course.

Low res (Text is fucked up because it's shrunk 50% in size)

Name: magazinecovercopy.jpg
Views: 4054
Size: 246.4 KB

Full res

I did it in about an hour before class and it was the most praised one out of everyone's...the professor didn't have any way to rip it apart like she usually does for everyone's work. Most of them thought it was a real magazine. I was happy.

Got to do another edition's cover and a 2 page spread for Monday, I'm looking forward to it.

When are you gonna get the second one done?

If I was a magazine company I'd hire you in a heartbeat, everything from color scheme to the layout is awesome.

What program did you use?

Thanks man, I did the whole thing in Photoshop. It's preferred to do layout work in Indesign, but I like to be rebellious. lol

Here's the 2nd magazine cover, working on the spread now

^^ LMAO!! That's awesome. If I saw that on a stand I'd have to buy that just for that reason.

Very nice job there man. You also happen to pick one of my favorite cars (Audi S5).

Very clean work. Hope you get as much praise for this one as you did the first.

I actually didn't come up with the name, one of the criteria for our magazines was to use 'carnival' as the name. I just cleverly made Car red

Here's the two page spread I made.

I'm kinda sad that this is the last of our magazine assignments, it'd be fun to make an entire magazine I think, lol.

Looks good Kev. I wanted to do a car theme when I was in that class but there was this ricer boy in there that did car theme to every damn project we had so I had to direct my talents elsewhere After our last project the teacher asked me to be on the advertising team for UWF for the Hot Shop or whatever it was called that was the national competition. Just no time for me to do something like that.

Here are the 2 covers I did for the same project you just did.

Hey man...the class was to help build a professional portfolio. I had been doing car stuff forever so I thought I would dabble with a different subject.

Our last project in that class was fun. Maybe she will show mine as an example since I left it with her.
