Don't you mean Sports Authority? I've never heard of Sports Academy. Anyway, I saw one at our local Sports Authority for $189.99

Yes, sports academy

lol.

We have a sports authority too, but they no longer sell firearms at ours. Nor does our walmart.

Man, that sucks. Here you can get a gun practically anywhere. We've got Sports Authority on the south side of town, Super Walmart on the north side, Big 5 Sporting Goods on the east side, basic walmart on the west side, and we've got a few stores in our mall that sell them too.

Pricing sounds good i'll stop at a couple places tomorrow on the way home from work to see if they got any to check out. You can mount a scope on them right?

You have to buy a rail to mount a scope, but it's like $10. Screws into the top of the receiver (there are screws already there for one)

If you get the 10/22 and you want hi capacity magazines for it...get the steel lip version only.

w00t to that. Ruger 10/22 > * .22LR autos.

I've got at least 3 10/22's. They're possibly one of the best built 22's on the market. Durable, reliable, accurate and there's a gob of goodies on the aftermarket for them.

I like my 500 too. I have the tactical version, but it's still accurate enough to shoot some clays.

As a side note, apparently the mossberg plinkster isnt really a mossberg, just has the label.
I am picking up my new 597 Tech Target on the 7th (damn waiting period) and she is a beauty. Crazy looking thumbhole wood stock (from boyds' ross I believe) and a carbon fiber dipped bull barrel. For the price you can't beat that out of the box. (Just under $300)
