so, i'm a a couple mods away from the car being finished for now. im looking into getting some tools. we have the basic crap(ramps, floor jack, and etc). but i want all new and i have a cleaned out perfect garage to start building a shop(a mini one so i can work on the stang and etc.) right now my list consists of
-a couple pairs of 3 ton jack stands -3-ton Floor Jack - Shopvac, that mounts on the wall - lugnut wrench thing(it has 4 type thing and is shaped like a + ) - Wrench and Socket set and a rachet(sp?) - screw driver set - Drill + Drillbit set - Lights - Air Compressor+attatchments(sp?) add on to the list. any basic tool that will come in handy for working on the stang. |

I would recomend getting an air compressor and a few air tools (ie impact gun and ratchets). An air compressor has SO many uses too. If ya already got atleast a decent set of hand tools. I would really get the compressor before the hand tools.

lol...I bet he's got a bunch. but as a mechanic, I can hardly see the tools needed to repair tv's as the "ultimate" tool set as you put it. |

well jesooos.... I dont spend near that amount of effort... i didnt want to say anything, but hell you got that big ole shovel with you again...just waiting to dig yourself another hole. ill refrain. |

Tons of standard and metric sockets and wrenches, breaker bar,vise grips,channel locks,vise,hammers,1/2" socket set of some standard sizes,Oil drain pans, thats all that i can think of that i have that I use all the time. Oh my dremel i use the shit out of that thing. A solid set of air tools is nice too I use mine alot on random things.
