Mustang parts on a vic?

Whats up guys, my friend is picking up a 2001 crownvic P71 (police edition) and from my knowledge they use the same 4.6 V8 thats in the 99-04 mustang gt's. We are planning to mod it and was just curious if anyone knew if any of the parts would be a direct swap. Such as headers, exhaust, etc. I really don't think they will since the body is different and clearance will more than likely be a huge issue. Just wondering if anyone had any info on it? Thanks again
