Alright cuz as most of you know I only have a 6 cylinder so help me get some power what are the best upgrades in order for power increase. I was thinkin 1) Headers with a whole magnaflow exhaust system That should be good for 30 hp, 15 from headers, 15 from the dual exhaust.
2) Performance Chip 35 3) Throttle Body 15 hp 4) Underdrive Pulleys 7 hp And I already have a cool air intake on my ride so im hoping with all these upgrades I'll have somewhere around 290 horses, I'm aiming for 300 Any other Ideas on how I can get some more power out of my sixer? And dont say get 8 cylinders! |

Have you had the car on a dyno? I am not sure about all the mods you listed actually giving that much power. I thin it is far fetched for a V-6 with those mods to reach 300hp. Hell I know guys that have GT's that have more work done and dont have 300hp.
Of course it does depend. You looking at the wheels or at the flywheel? |

Those are all great mods, but I think those hp estimates for each mod are really high if your talking about rwhp. I don't know much about performance chips, but 35hp seems really high. Also, I have a C&L Plenum and Accufab 75mm TB and I guarantee you I didn't get 15 hp out of that combo, so I don't a tb alone isn't going to get you 15 hp. Also, I don't know if this is true, but I've heard dual exhaust can hurt the performance on a v-6. Someone much smarter than me probably can speak to that.
Dude, just get nitrous! |

Shorties are worthless imo. Longtubes and exhaust, 30 hp at most. A chip 10 to 15 hp unless you have a custom tuned one. Throttle body alone, 3 or 4 hp tops on a stock motor. Underdrives your probably close. If you want 300hp, get a supercharger or a turbo. That will get you there the quickest. My hp estimates are rwhp. |
