Default pic of 8 inch antenna (MT of course)

just in case anyone was surious what it looks like on the car. i like it a lot better than the whip antenna the car comes with. i've experienced slightly less reception (mach 460 stereo) with factory radio, but stations that were fuzzy came in fine with aftermarket radio (kenwood cd player MP425).

It is better than the stock, but for me it is a little to short for some reason. I guess it is one of those things that has to grow on you.

It looks too short. It appears stubby. IMHO I think it should be even with the top of the roof. The stock version is too tall.

Hmm I knew it was 8 inches but it really didnt click in my mind that it would be THAT short. They need like a 12 inch one too mabye.

Keep on the topic men! If the stock antenna is the venti size and this one is the tall size, is there a grande size? I've got to stop going to Starbuck's so much!

Honestly, i like how the stock antenna looks... but I have to replace mine (it looks swept back a little, maybe a few degrees off, luckily its in the correct direction when all the way screwed in...

I agree that the 8" is too short, does anyone have a pic of the billet one?? It says it's 13", which I think would look alot better.

I found a "How-To" article on the Mustangworld site that explains how to cut the stock antenna to a shorter length. Click here==> http://www.mustangworld.com/ourpics/fcar/antenna1.htm I know that this information has been on this site for a long time, but maybe some of you haven't read it yet. Also, check-out the other "How-To" articles on the site.

Happy reading! Ray

Yeah, I think cutting it down to a little taller than the roof would be perfect..
