Ok, so the stock(GIANT) antenna is really starting to get on my nerves. It's in the middle of my windshield! and it sways back and forth while I drive.... Idk.... I'm just crazy. But anyway, does anyone have the 8 inch one? and what do you think about? How does the radio sound? and does it flop around alot while u drive?

I just got my 8 inch today and put it on, it gets decent reception... I'm still trying to figure out what all the screws are for though, there's like... 3 and there's only two places that they go in? I don't know that ones blowing my mind... it gets choppy once the car starts moving but that may just be me using... the wrong sequence of screws?

i bought mine about a month ago and i have never once had bad reception. I called MT before i purchased it to ask them if the reception was any different between the 8 inch and 14 inch and they told me that if you live NEAR a larger city that you will be fine, however if you live in the boonies the reception will start to fade. I live about 20 miles from st louis and mine works like a charm, and looks good too. You also won't need to take it off if you use a car cover. I hated taking mine off everytime i wanted to cover it...

hmmmmm.... well I kinda live in the boonies and kinda not.... I wonder if it would work or not? Well, I guess I should give it a try b/c I hate where ford put it... what idiot smoked himself stupid and was like.... "hey why don't we just put the antenna right in the middle of the windshield! that way we can piss everyone off when they try to look out the right side!" I mean why didn't they just put it on the driver's side... that's prob the only place that would make it worse....

I've had the 8 inch, and definately could tell a difference in reception, it was horrible, but if I got another one, I would get the 14 inch.

I just put mine on yesterday and it took me about 5 min. The reception was actually improved on mine. and it looks a h*ll of a lot better.

I got the 8inch one and id say go for the 14 since you have the choice. i got mine for free, and my reception went down a little bit. the antenna is SUPER small too, it looks kinda goofy.
