Cruising home last night... feeling really sick and not in the mood to play. A ws6 rolls out of Mikkie D's at Valley and Stanley and cuts in front of me with like 20' to spare.. pissed me off.
I move into the other lane and mat the pedal to express my intent to leave his camaro drivin ass behind. He revved back and gave this little smirk like he was gunna own me. First gear, massive spin but it did move. Speed shifted to 2nd, more spin but it got moving and gained back the car length (now we're just passing the other side of the intersection) to bring us even again, he makes the 3rd gear shift, I make the 3rd shift and we're finally having a race instead of a burnout contest. pulled on him all the way through 3rd, shifted to 4th and let go of it since I'd already pulled on him pretty hard and he lined up even again. We were both clearly in 4th so I hit it and he hit it and I pulled away again. That was that... didn't see him again. 5.4 mustang 1 WS6 Firebird 0

that was the first real hard race for the beastie. I'm happy to flog one. I'm happier to wipe that smug smile off his face. :P

nah... I pussed out yesterday and stayed inside. Too cold to go out and work while I'm sick (got a nasty flu). I've just bought new pintle caps and o-rings for my 32's so if those make it by the weekend I'll try and get the new fuel system in then and see about another run.
It's a lot of fun that's for damned sure.

oh ... BTW, if it weren't for chebbie putting out cars with actual muscle and ford pussing out I wouldn't have had to upgrade in the first place.

Cool. I beat a 01' ws6 in the cobra a while back. Only cause I got the hole shot.

ws6's are fast. I was happy as hell to even keep up. It's ford's shame that the 4.6 was left as anemic as it was.

yep, last year when I had my 97 cobra, i got spanked badly on the highway by one...he was modded all kinds of crazy though...bastard probably had a good 450 hp at the rear wheels...cause one second we're side by side, the next he's about 400 yds in front of me, and I was at WOT
