im looking around online and see that it uses something similar to itunes. it has its own program to store your music and where to get music and videos. the whole idea for me was to get rid of itunes all together and just use the windows based **** to store all my music and mpeg videos. can any of you all fill me in on any more.....

 

i dunno, my boss who was a network engineer has the zune, and prefers it over the ipod...hes extremely good with computers and anything that relates to them..so they must be doing something right..

I own an iPod and love it.. I have messed with zune's at work before.. and I hate them because you can only sync one to one PC at a time, it's weird

 

yeah and when you download a song wirelessly from another zune, you can only listen to it like three times and then it dissapears

 

my friend has a zune. he likes it. the only good feature about it is the big *** screen. but the damn this is so big and bulky...zune went in the opposite direction the ipod is...small and sleek, this thing is bigger than my palm...and my hands are big

just me but i would get an ipod video...its smaller...although i have a nano which is hella small but hey...i got it for free

 

zune interface eats t3h cack. DRM embedded in it is Orwellian BS, Microshaft having anything to do with it only makes sure I'll NEVER own one or want one. My IPods don't have any competition from the Zune. They do have competition from my bloody cell phone. Treo 680 and I can do everything the IPhone can + more.

 

well i already have a nano. i had a 30 gig photo ipod but its all fubar'd now. im just looking into something to replace it with. im still looking around for a deal.

i also read that the zune you can only listen to songs up to 3 times when you transfer songs between zunes. (i also read that certain record companies wont play on the zune?) you can only use one computer to update songs and playlist, you can use other computers but it will wipe out whatever music you have on your zune at the time. i just got into downloading music videos and i have a few gigs now so im just looking into something that has some quality. the deck in my car has aux plug-ins so i can hook up any kind of MP3 player.

 

That kills it for that feature.

 

yeah, they leave it long enough for you to download it if you like it. if you dont like the song then its gone.

i wonder if the same will go for videos or pics?

looks like i may be gettin F'd in the A on this deal. the guy relisted the same exact ad today and i still have no tracking info. the payment just cleared on friday becuase i had to use a e-check through paypal, and if you used one of those before then you know it takes forever and a day to get processed. hopefully i will get some word on this today or tomorrow. if not then i will get my money back and he will get a negative, deadbeat seller. its my first in a while

 

i have like 18 buddies with zunes..theyre pretty awesome..especially the transfer song thing...

by the way..once you get a transferred song, just put it on your computer and change the name of the song, like ad an extra space..and its yours forever

the thing that kills me is the size..i feel like that brick would slow me down snowboarding, lol

 

snowboarding.... ha thats what the nano is for. im gettin the zune for the music videos and movies that i have in mpeg format. i used to use all this stuff on my PSP but i didnt like the games so i sold it and got this zune at a better price.

Thats funny cuz my g/f can't update her ipod on her computers. She has a Mac laptop and a PC. all her music was on the PC but then when she wanted to transfer it over to her computer it said it was guna wipe her Ipod's hard drive out completely...

my ipod got stolen this week...so i caved in and bought a zune. thing is pretty sick...the goddamn software is pretty confusing at first..but once you get the hang of it its not so bad..

the only thing that pisses me off is you can only play .mov vids on the zune..nothing else

just get some converting software. the zune software converted most of if not all my videos. i got about 1000 music videos. i also have about 10 movies ready to go. im all ready to go for some 12 hour days of sitting around doin nothin.

the thing i hate right now is that most of the album art isnt around because the music file names are all jacked up. so i have to fix all that and have to see if it will automatically find all of the art work. if not then ill get a zune pass and delete all the music i have and just re-download it all.

 

it wont convert mine...im trying to get it to play a video and it wont..oh well. and i got a white one..cus out of all my freinds that have a zune, most of theirs are black, some brown..none white. and i wish i got an orange one, i just looked at a pic, its sick!! the article said they started at like 700 bucks on ebay
