Question Am I crazy? I want another SVT focus

OK before people get all crazy. I am not going to give up my mustang. I am trading in my 2004 grand Prix GT to get a 02-04 SVT focus.

I have been getting major sh1t about this from my mustang friends here in AZ. I owned a 02 svt focus and loved it. No it wasnt a tq beast, no I didnt feel like the king of the road, no girls didnt flash me.

BUT.... it's was fun and no I wont say fast, but its was quick. It was well optioned to say the least. it has more fun little toys on it then my new all optioned delux 2006 mustang gt.

I know they look like chubby roller skates.

she's done better

I want one too, my wife thinks that I am completely crazy. But if I ever need a cheap car with good gas mileage, that's the one.

So did it take like 30 miles going downhill to get that thing up to 120mph? ha ha ha...just kidding. I like the SVT focus, but if I had a choice I'd also take and srt-4 over the focus.

Default yeah srt4

I love the srt4's but they are still around $20k. you can pickup a nnice svt focus for $7-11k. Also they are build really cheap like alot of dodges. I love dodges dont get me wrong. But they are not build as well and a srt4 will cost 2-3 times the price.

plus the srt4 gas milage are not that great! I work with a few guys that drive them daily and they are getting worse milage then my v8 GT 06 conv.

also my svt could walk away from most v6 stang. kind of a good feeling.

Default wow lets see

good question.

Well the steering wheel audio controls were fluid to say the least.

the heated seats were killer. maybe even my fav part of the car.

the leather was much nicer. almost BMW grade. almost.

the getrag 6 speed tranny was a dream.

the hatch (third door) kicked ass.

the engine block heater.

the fact it made a 170 hp all motor.

the 32 mpg I was getting and the 25 city.

the svt suspension was amazying for a little car.

like you said the HID's

the nice stock 17 inch rims.

the fact you could have a 2 door or 4 door

plus I think the car just looks better

Plus the SVT Focus only weighs 2,600-2,700lbs so 170hp will get that thing scooting pretty damn good.

I've been more and more thinking of getting a focus when I sell mine. I think I may stay domestic... however I was looking more at a ZX5 and the higher end's before the SVT

While I agree the SVT focus is a great little car and my buddy has a black one, the leather is not anywhere near BMW grade. But it is WAY better than cheapo mustang crapola

But you must live in cold weather to list an engine heater as an attractive option

Agreed. I'm not a big fan of hatchbacks either. You wouldn't catch me driving one anytime of the day.

I have a 2003 SVT Focus with the Euro package. Which has HID's, recaro heated racing leather seats, engine block heater, audiophile 6 disc sound system with a 10" sub, power moon roof. I have had mine now for about 4 months and bought it with only 26k miles on it. I gave 13k for it and it has a 60k mile extended warranty. these cars are quicker than people think. My has an H&R cup suspension on it, steeda shifter, CAI, plug wires, motor mount and a few other items. Below are some pictures of it.
