Default How long have you gone?

What's the longest time you've gone without washing your car?

2 weeks is the longest so far for me.

2-3 weeks easily, car keeps clean really well, somehow by mystical forces beyond my control this car collects less dirt than my brother silver stang, and he doesnt even drive his everyday.

I'm in that boat right now...getting tired of looking at it's slow, plain uglyness.

But that doesn't keep me from keeping it clean.

hmm...during the summer it might be washed as much as 2 times a week but during the winter...its like 2 or 3 weeks because i dont really need to be showing anything off when its snowing...plus the hoses freeze and i am too cheap to pay for a car wash because car washing places suck at washing cars

A couple of months and i used to be real anal and clean it at least every 3 days or so but not anymore. It's time for a new paint job since i have so many rock chips and crap. After that it will be back to being anal about it.

speaking of automatic car wash places...right after I got my wheels and tires, I went to a real nice one near me. when I got there the attendant told me I couldnt go through because my rear tires would not fit in the track.

Anyone else run into this issue?

now I dont go to them because the brushes at some of them will scratch your paint. (and apparently my tires are too wide)

I have heard countless stories of mustangs getting damaged in automatic car washes, especially the ones with the big brushes that touch your car, if your going to go through one go through the touchless ones. My old stang the rear bumper snaped on the right, when i took it to ford to get an estimate, the guy just looks at me and tells me "Let me guess, car wash?". There are very weak points around where the rivets hold some body parts.

I dont wash my car all summer since its rains all summer.

Man, you guys are nuts I guess its cause my car is always outside or something, but there is NO WAY I would wash my car every couple of days. Maybe once every two weeks to a month.
