Default Got a price quote for exhaust.

So i went to Billups and got a quote for true duals with hi-flo cats and flowmasters. $740!!! Im not sure i want to spend that much on my exhaust. Do you guys think i should go w/o the new cats and just keep 2 of the 4 old ones??? Then run the duals. The cats alone were $240. It costs so much to keep the earth clean anymore. The guy is only going to charge me for 30 min. labor, so thats a plus. I tried to figure the price w/o gettin the cats and it came down to $480. I think that is the route i am going to take, But i want some of you guys' opinions.

wow thats kinda nuts for flowmasters. go to summit and or jegs and buy your own highflow cats you can get them for way way less then that.

Uhm.... that's quite ridiculous man. On my v6 I got true duals for $180 and that included the Flowmasters, all extras, labor. Just run it with the cats you have now, save up.

I told the guy that i could get Flows for $70 out of Jegs and he wants $224and he came back with a smartass reply of "Do you want me to charge for 30 min. or 3 hours of labor?". I decided to keep stock cats just take out 2 of them. But i havent decided whether i should just order the mufflers from Jegs and let them put them in or not. He gave me a price of $30 for labor. So if hes a a**hole and charges for 3 hours or however long it takes. Thats around $100-180 of labor. Kind of offsetting the difference in price.

I would go somewhere else. Any midas should be willing to run a set of true duals for cheap from the stock cats. or save yourself alot of headaches and maybe just get a full on replacement h-pipe for it and a used GT catback.

All i know is i wouldnt spend money on someone who threats to charge you more labor.

I can get everything i need from jegs for a total of $240. I'll prob. either go some where else or just put it in with some buddies some day. The only prob. that i can think of is when we cut the 2 back cats off, whether or not we will have to bend the pipe or not. O'well only time will tell.
