What's so different between a car engine and a motorcycle engine, that cars redline around 6,000RPM, but motorcycles redline in the 10,000 - 12,000 - 14,000RPM range?

Also, valvetrain limits on a cars motor, but he's right, it all goes back to the stroke being smaller and the parts weighing less.

Default Maybe, or maybe not.

The NASCAR standard V8 often revs past 9500 rpms on the short tracks.

The F1 v8's turn over 16k RPM as well. All goes back to design, stroke, valve train, etc.
